Cobble Cottage

Cobble Cottage is on the West Cliff in Whitby. It was built in 2016 on the site of an old workshop. I know, it looks like it should be older from the outside. It's in the middle of a row of three. You get in through an elevated boardwalk to the first floor.

It sleeps eight. There's four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a good size inside, over a thousand square feet. The main living area is upstairs. There's two sofas, a dining table, and the kitchen is at the back of that room. It's all open plan. The kitchen has integrated appliances.

Downstairs there are two king bedrooms. One has French doors out to a private yard at the back and its own shower room. The other has an en-suite too. The fourth bedroom has a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath.

The stairs are fine, but there is a stairgate if you need one. There's a washing machine and a tumble dryer in a cupboard upstairs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair.

You get one parking permit for the West Cliff car park. It's about a five minute walk from the cottage. You're right in the middle of things here. The shops, cafes and the harbour are just steps away.

For walking, you've got the Cleveland Way along the coast, or you can head into the North York Moors. Robin Hood's Bay is about six miles away. Staithes is about eleven miles. The North York Moors National Park website is good for planning walks. The Abbey is up the 199 steps, obviously. The English Heritage page for Whitby Abbey has the visitor information.

No pets, I'm afraid.
