This is Bram's View in Whitby. It's an apartment on West Cliff, so you're up high. The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea from the living room.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not overly fancy. Everything works.
The history is that Bram Stoker stayed here when he was writing Dracula. He’d have looked at the same sea. We've kept it in that style. We don't make a big song and dance about it, but it’s a nice bit of story if you're interested.
You're a few hundred yards from the cliff lift. That takes you down to the beach, the Pavilion, and the swimming pool. There's a shop, a pub, and restaurants about 250 yards away.
Whitby itself has the Abbey ruins, boat trips, and all the usual seaside things. The Cleveland Way coastal path is right there if you walk. By car, Robin Hood's Bay is about ten minutes away. Runswick Bay and Sandsend are a bit further, maybe fifteen or twenty minutes. The North York Moors National Park starts not far inland.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
