Robin's Rest

Robin's Rest is in Whitby town centre, on the ground floor of an old house. It's an apartment, but you get your own front door. It sleeps three, with one bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

The space is all on one level, which is handy. There's a small enclosed patio area out the back if you want some air. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two dogs.

You're right in the middle of things. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about fifty yards away. The harbour and the beach are a five minute walk. The beach is sand and stones, not golden sand, but it's a proper beach. The famous 199 steps up to the Abbey are about the same distance.

For getting around, the open top bus tours start nearby. The North York Moors Railway runs steam trains from Whitby station into the moors, which is good for walks. North York Moors National Park has information on routes.

Along the coast, Robin Hood's Bay is about six miles south. It's a steep walk down into the old village. Staithes is a bit further. Both are good for a potter about. The Cleveland Way coastal path runs right past Whitby if you want a longer walk.

Other things in the facilities list: there's a highchair if you need one, and the TV has internet access for streaming. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over the festive period. There's local fishing and a golf course isn't far.
