Awd Tut's

This is Awd Tut's. It's in Whitby, on Church Street. The name comes from Old Tom, a fisherman who lived here in the 1800s. The cottage is very old, about four hundred years. It's small and the stairs are quite steep, which is normal for somewhere this age. You don't get a sea view from the windows, but the harbour is just at the end of the little lane.

It sleeps five. There's a double and single together in one bedroom on the first floor, and another double on the top floor. That one has a small ensuite shower room. The main bathroom is on the first floor. There's one parking space.

It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxury. Everything works. You've got a washing machine, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The garden out the back is enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. We take one well-behaved pet.

You're right in the middle of things. Tate Hill Sands beach is a two minute walk. For a longer walk, the Cleveland Way path along the cliffs starts close by. The steam train runs from Whitby into the North York Moors in the summer. Robin Hood's Bay is about ten minutes drive, Staithes is about twenty.
