Awd Tut's is a very small cottage just off Church Street in Whitby. It's old, built over three floors, which means there are a lot of stairs. They're a bit steep and turn a corner, so you need to be careful. The top floor has a double bed and an ensuite shower. The middle floor has a room with a double and a single bed, plus the main bathroom. It sleeps five but it's cosy, more suited to a family than two couples.
The garden is through the back door, down some steps. It's enclosed and gets the sun in the afternoon. You can hear the gulls and you're minutes from the harbour.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, warm, and has the basics. There's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You're right in the middle of Whitby. Everything is on your doorstep: the harbour, the beach at Tate Hill Sands, the shops, and the fish and chips. The bus and train stations are close by if you don't want to drive.
For walks, you can join the Cleveland Way along the cliffs. The old railway line, the Cinder Track, goes to Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough. Robin Hood's Bay is about fifteen minutes by car, Staithes is about twenty. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town.
