The Hideaway
The Hideaway is a ground floor apartment in Sleights. It's been refurbished, so it's modern inside. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen is open plan. There's parking right outside.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs, but we don't take pets here, sorry.
Sleights village is just there. You've got a shop, a couple of pubs, and a good butcher all within a few minutes' walk. The North York Moors Railway steam trains go through the station, which is nice to see.
Whitby is about two miles away. You can walk it along the river, past the salmon leap. In Whitby, you've got the Abbey, the harbour, and the beaches. The North York Moors National Park starts pretty much at the edge of town. For coastal walks, the Cleveland Way path is right there.
If you drive half an hour inland, you're into the moors proper. Goathland and Grosmont are on that route. The bus from Whitby to Pickering goes through them and is supposed to be very scenic.
In the apartment, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
