Eversfield is a big Edwardian house in Goathland. It's on its own, so you've got the whole garden and a terrace that looks west over the moors.
It sleeps twelve, which is a lot. There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, so people aren't queuing. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's an old house though, so just be aware the floors can creak.
There's a pub about 200 yards away. The village shop, cafes, and the Post Office are all in walking distance. You might know Goathland from the TV show Heartbeat, but really it's just a normal moorland village.
You're right in the North York Moors National Park. The walking from the door is excellent. The steam railway stops at the village station. You can get on there and go to Pickering or Grosmont.
Whitby is about nine miles away. It's a proper fishing port with the abbey on the cliff. The beach is sandy. Other good coastal spots like Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are within about half an hour's drive.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. There's a woodburning stove, a BBQ, and parking. The garden is enclosed. There's a games room and a separate kids' play area outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
