This is Eversfield, in Goathland. It's a big Edwardian house, detached, with its own garden. You get a view over the common where the sheep graze, and the back terrace looks out towards the moors and forest.
It sleeps twelve people. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped. There's a games room, and an enclosed garden area with a patio.
The house is in the village, about half a mile from a pub and restaurant. Goathland is probably best known as the setting for the TV series Heartbeat. It's right in the North York Moors National Park, so walking is the main thing. The steam railway from Pickering stops at the village station.
Whitby is about nine miles away. It's a fishing port with an abbey, beaches, and the Captain Cook museum. The coastal villages like Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, and Staithes are all within a half hour drive for a visit.
We can take up to three dogs. There's on-site parking. The facilities list is long, but it includes things like a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, a woodburning stove, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are all included.
