Cherry Garth is in Goathland, up in the North York Moors. It's a detached house, so no one attached to either side. The garden goes all the way round and is fully enclosed, which is good for dogs.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms, but one is quite a small single room. Two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The sun room at the front gets the light. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Goathland village is a short walk. You might know it from 'Heartbeat' or as Hogsmeade station from Harry Potter. The steam trains run through. There's a pub, a shop, and a few tea rooms. The railway station is in the village.
Walking is the main thing. You can pick up paths straight from the door. The Rail Trail to Grosmont is about three and a half miles along the old line. You can get the steam train back from there if you want. The North York Moors National Park site has maps and routes.
Whitby is about nine miles away. That's where you get the proper seaside. The Abbey, fish and chips, the 199 steps. Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are along the coast too, within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a couple of cars on the drive. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed, and a stairgate.
