The Dairy is in Beck Hole, North Yorkshire. It's semi-detached and sits in the grounds of our house, but you have your own space. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms.
It's a 4 Star property. It's comfortable and well equipped, not a show home. The kitchen was redone in 2022 and works well. It's a quiet spot. You'll hear birds, not traffic.
The cottage looks out over the village. There's a local pub about 600 yards away. It's tiny, one of the smallest in the UK. They do traditional ales.
Goathland village is a mile up the road. That's where they filmed Heartbeat. There's a village green with shops and tea rooms. You can get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train from there to Pickering.
For walking, you can start right from the door. There are cycle tracks and bridle paths. The moors are all around you.
Whitby is about eight miles away, over the moors. It's a proper fishing town with a harbour, the abbey ruins, and a sandy beach. Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are along the coast too, all within a 30 minute drive.
The place has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed.
