Ivylea Barn is in Glaisdale, North Yorkshire. It's a one bedroom barn conversion for two people. There's a private driveway and your own garden. The garden faces south-west, so it gets the sun most of the day. There are sheep in the next field.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level, which is good. The ceilings are high with some of the old sandstone walls exposed. You come in through a stable door into the kitchen and dining area. There are big windows looking out over the fields.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower. There's a wardrobe and a dressing table built in. The living room is next door, with a sofa and a TV.
Facilities wise: it has WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
Glaisdale is a small village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. There's a village shop and a tea room. You'll find pubs serving food in the surrounding villages, a short drive away.
You're about 11 miles from Whitby on the coast. It's a straight run down the road. Whitby has the abbey, plenty of places to eat, and events throughout the year. The coastline north and south of there has places like Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay.
Inland, you've got the moors. Places like Hutton-le-Hole and Helmsley are within half an hour's drive. The North York Moors Railway steam trains run from Pickering to Whitby, through Goathland.
