Beckside Cottage is in Houlsyke, high up on the North York Moors. It's an end-terrace stone cottage built right against a little stream, which you can hear from inside. The views from the front are across the moor.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
It's very quiet up here. You're about three miles from Castleton, which has a shop and a couple of pubs. For a bigger shop, you need to go to Whitby.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. There's a little wooden bridge from the garden that gets you straight onto the moor for walking. You don't need to drive to start a hike.
Whitby is about a 20-minute drive. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes. Both are good for a day out by the sea.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car right outside.
