The Stable is on our farm. It's up a track, about three miles from Lealholm. It used to be stables, but it's been done up into a house. It's attached to another cottage called The Byre.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with two singles, and a bathroom. They've got good views over the fields. It has a 4 Star rating.
Downstairs is all one open space. There's a wood burning stove for colder nights. Outside, there's a paved patio area with a table and a bit of an enclosed garden. You can sit out there and just look at the fields. It's a working farm, so you might see tractors about. We try to farm organically.
Inside, there's a dishwasher and a washing machine, and towels and bedding are included. There's WiFi and satellite TV. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.
For a pub or a shop, Lealholm is your best bet. It's a few miles down the lane. The moor is right on your doorstep for walks. Whitby is about a twenty minute drive for the harbour and the Abbey. The North York Moors National Park site has good information for walking routes. For a big day out, you can drive to Scarborough or Robin Hood's Bay within half an hour.
