The Granary
The Granary is in Westerdale, which is right in the North York Moors. It's a first-floor flat in a converted barn. We live in the farmhouse across the yard. The views from the windows are over the fields towards Castleton Rigg.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The ceilings are vaulted with some low beams, so watch your head. The floors are solid oak.
There's a pub about a mile and a half away. Castleton village is a mile away and has a shop. For a proper day out, Whitby is about a 25 minute drive. The coast that way is all fishing villages and beaches.
You can walk straight from the door onto the moors. The North York Moors National Park site has good walking routes. For local history, the English Heritage page for Whitby Abbey is useful.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. The garden and patio are for your use. No pets, sorry.
