The York Apartment is in Commondale, up in the North York Moors. It's on the ground floor of a converted red brick schoolhouse. There are four flats in the building, but yours is private.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. There's one shower room. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need without being luxurious. Everything's on one level.
Outside, there's a small shared enclosed garden at the front with a bench. The views over the moors are good. Parking is in what used to be the playground. The owners live next door.
The village pub is a couple of minutes walk away. They do food. It's a proper local. The Esk Valley train line stops at Commondale station, about a 15 minute walk away. The service isn't frequent, but it's a nice way to get to Whitby without driving.
You're right in the North York Moors National Park, so walking from the door is easy. By car, you can be at the coast in under half an hour. Staithes, Whitby, Runswick Bay are all in that range.
It has a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on site.
