Ingleby Barn
This is Ingleby Barn, which is one of four cottages we've got here at Baysdale. It's in Battersby, up in the North Yorkshire Moors. You're on a working farm. The main house used to be an abbey a long time ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. That's handy so you're not queuing. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and well looked after.
You're up a two-mile track from the main road. It's quiet. You'll see sheep and cattle in the fields. The garden is natural, not a manicured lawn. There's a small stream at the bottom.
Inside, the ceilings are high and beamed. There's a wood-burning stove. The floors are original wood in parts. The windows look out over the valley.
For places to go, you're in the North York Moors National Park. You can walk straight from the door. Whitby is about 16 miles away for the coast. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train is up there too. The villages like Staithes are a short drive.
It's remote. The nearest shop is three miles. The closest pub is six miles. You'll need a car.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. We include bedding and towels. You can bring one dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're with a bigger group, you can book the other barns and the main house together.
