Wainstones Rocks is a lodge near Great Broughton in North Yorkshire. It's modern and detached, in a quiet spot with a gravel driveway. The main thing is the view from the back, which is over a big field towards Hasty Bank and the moors. No other houses in the way.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and an en-suite shower, the other with twin beds. There's a proper family bathroom too with a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. Everything feels quite spacious inside, with good storage for coats and boots, which you'll need.
You've got a private patio with a hot tub that looks out at the view. At night, with no street lights, you can see a lot of stars.
Great Broughton village is a five minute walk. There are three pubs there, all decent for a meal. The Wainstones rock formations are up on Hasty Bank, about a fifteen minute drive or a good walk if you're fit. The heather up there is purple in late summer. It's part of the Cleveland Way.
Within half an hour you can get to a few places. Roseberry Topping is that distinctive hill you can see, good for a walk. The coast at Saltburn is about twenty five minutes for surfing. Whitby, Staithes and Runswick Bay are a bit further along. Helmsley is a nice market town with a castle and shops. For something different, the Tees Barrage near Stockton has white water activities.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right outside. No pets allowed.
