Trincomalee Lodge

Trincomalee Lodge is on a small site near Great Ayton. There are ten lodges in total, set around a private lake. The views are good, especially of Roseberry Topping and the hills.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was built new in 2019 and has a 5 Star rating. It's clean and in good condition.

The living space is open plan. There's a wood burner and doors out to your own patio with a hot tub and a view of the lake. There's also a beer pump in the kitchen, which you can use if you want.

The site has a small kids' play area and a shared sauna. The sauna has a glass front so you can see the view while you're in it.

You can walk into Great Ayton village in about twenty minutes across the fields, or drive it in two minutes. There's a good shop there and a couple of pubs. The local ice cream and pie shop is worth a visit.

For a proper day out, you're about a twenty minute drive from the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Roseberry Topping itself is a popular walk and is close by. Captain Cook's Monument is also nearby if you're interested in the history.

The coast is about half an hour's drive. Whitby and Saltburn are both that sort of distance.

Facilities wise, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the lodge. No pets allowed.
