This is Newport Bridge Lodge. It's one of ten lodges set around a private lake just outside Great Ayton. You look out over the water towards Roseberry Topping.
It sleeps eight. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star, so it's well-equipped and new, built in 2019. Everything is on one level, which makes it good for wheelchairs or if you don't want stairs.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and WiFi.
Each lodge has its own hot tub on the decking. You share the use of a sauna with a view of Roseberry Topping. There's a kids' play area on site and a small boating lake.
The village of Great Ayton is about a mile away. You can walk there via a public footpath through the fields. It's got a few shops, some pubs, and a good ice cream shop. The nearest pub is about 600 yards from the lodges.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. Roseberry Topping is straight out the window. Captain Cook's Monument is nearby too. For a day out, Whitby is about half an hour's drive. The coast at Saltburn is closer, maybe 20 minutes.
