Roseberry Topping is a lodge in Great Broughton. It's set back from the road on a gravel drive. There's a patio with a hot tub. You can see fields from it, and the hills in the distance.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower, the other has twins. Plenty of storage. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main space is open plan: kitchen, dining, living area. Big sliding doors let the light in. There's a utility cupboard with a washing machine, and a separate cupboard for coats and boots.
You've got three pubs in the village, all within walking distance. They all do food.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors. The Wainstones are a dramatic spot on Hasty Bank. Roseberry Topping itself is the famous local hill, good for a climb with views at the top. The Cleveland Way passes close by.
You can drive to the coast in under half an hour. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is for surfing. Staithes, Runswick Bay, and Whitby are a bit further along. For a market town, Helmsley has a castle, an abbey, and shops. The Tees Barrage, about twenty minutes away, does water sports like white water rafting.
Facilities include the hot tub, off-road parking, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and a cot. Bedding and towels are provided. Sorry, no pets.
