This is The Riverside Lodge. It's one of ten lodges built around a private lake near Great Ayton. They were all new in 2019. The view from the decking looks out over the water to Roseberry Topping and the Cleveland Hills.
It sleeps eight. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-finished, with things like a wood burner and a hot tub on the private deck.
The site has a shared sauna with a glass front, so you can still see the view. There's a small children's play area and a communal barbecue spot. A public footpath goes from the lodges across fields into Great Ayton village, which is about a mile's walk. The village has a few shops and pubs. There's a good ice cream shop and a pie shop there too.
You're well placed for getting out. Roseberry Topping itself is a good short climb with proper rewarding views. The North York Moors National Park is just to the south. For a day at the coast, Whitby is about a 30 minute drive. Saltburn is a bit closer.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. Sorry, no pets.
