The Tipsy Bee At 143.
The Tipsy Bee is at 143 on the main road through Guisborough. We finished the renovation last year. It's a two-up two-down, so the living room and kitchen are open plan on the ground floor. There's a proper wood burner, which works well. The kitchen is small but has what you need, including a washing machine in the utility room. The shower room is on the ground floor too.
Upstairs are the two bedrooms: one kingsize, one double. They're done. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
You're right in the town. The local pub is about 80 yards away. There's a market in the square on Thursdays and Saturdays. Guisborough Priory is a ten-minute walk. The forest is on the edge of town for walks.
You're on the doorstep of the North York Moors. For a good walk, head up Roseberry Topping. It's about a twenty-minute drive. The coast is about fifteen minutes by car. Saltburn's the closest, with the pier and the cliff lift. From there, you can follow the coast to Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby. They're all connected by the Cleveland Way path. North York Moors National Park has the official maps and information.
