Salty Towers is a first floor flat on the seafront in Saltburn. It's in one of those tall Victorian houses, so you get the high ceilings and big sash windows. It looks right out over the North Sea.
It sleeps four people, with a kingsize bedroom and a twin room. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The whole place has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. It's an old building, so the windows can be a bit draughty when the wind's up off the sea, but you get used to it.
The kitchen is separate, which is handy, and it's got a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
You're right on the cliff top. To get down to the beach or the pier, you can walk down the hill or use the Saltburn Cliff Lift. It's a proper Victorian water-balanced lift and it's fun to use. The beach is sandy and long, good for walking the dog or flying a kite. People surf here all year round.
In town, there's a good mix of pubs, cafes, and some independent shops. The pier is nice for a stroll. The fish and chips are decent.
If you want to explore, Staithes and Runswick Bay are about twenty minutes up the coast. Whitby is about half an hour's drive. You can follow the Cleveland Way footpath along the cliffs to some of them. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland, so you can be walking on the moors in fifteen minutes by car.
For planning days out, the National Trust Yorkshire page is useful.
