Fisherman's Cottage
This is Fisherman's Cottage in Loftus. It's a terraced house down a little lane off the high street. There's a small stream that runs past the front door. We finished a full renovation in early 2022.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: one king, one double, and one with bunk beds. There's one family bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable.
Downstairs, you step down from the living area into the kitchen and dining space. The kitchen door opens to a small yard with seating. You get your own parking space, but it's about 50 yards down the road in a marked bay.
The shop and the pub are a two minute walk. For the beach, Skinningrove is a nice quiet spot about a half hour walk, or a short drive. Good for fossils.
You're in a good spot for the coast. Runswick Bay, Staithes, and Saltburn are all close. Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. The Cleveland Way runs along the cliffs if you're walking. For the moors, Roseberry Topping is a good climb with the views.
Facilities wise, it's all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Pets are welcome.
