Bumblebee Lodge is in Staithes in North Yorkshire. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one floor. It's at the bottom of a steep hill in a quiet part of the village.
It sleeps up to five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It was refurbished in 2022. The main living area is open plan. You've got your own garden and parking right there.
Staithes Beck runs past the site. There's a small waterfall there, and you often see birds and wildlife.
The village is a proper old fishing place with cobbled streets. The harbour is nice, but be aware it's down a steep hill from the main part of the village. There's a small beach and the lifeboat station is still active. You can get boat trips from there for fishing or birdwatching. There are a few pubs, a shop, and some tea rooms within a few minutes' walk.
The Cleveland Way coast path runs right past the village. The views from up there are very good. You can walk along to places like Robin Hood's Bay. Whitby is about ten miles south by car. It's a bigger town with the abbey, plenty of shops, and the 199 steps to climb. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is to the north if you're into surfing.
Inland, you're in the North York Moors National Park. Good for walks. You can get on the steam train at places like Grosmont.
The lodge has a washing machine, dishwasher, and cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. The WiFi isn't free; there's an extra charge for it. Sorry, no pets.
