One Beckside Cottage

One Beckside Cottage is on one of the little streets in Staithes. It's a very old fisherman's cottage, but it's been done up recently. It feels modern inside.

It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, and both bedrooms have their own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating.

Because it's old and on a hill, the layout is over three floors. You go in on the middle floor where the kitchen and living area is. One bedroom is upstairs, the other is down a flight of stairs from the main living floor. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, just so you know.

It's right in the middle of the village. The pub, a few places to eat, and a little shop are all about a minute's walk away. The beach and harbour are maybe two minutes.

There's a small enclosed patio garden out the back with a table and chairs. You can park one car on the drive.

Inside, it's got a wood burning stove, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a stairgate. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

For a day out, Whitby is about fifteen minutes by car. You've got the abbey and the Goth weekends. The North York Moors National Park starts practically at the edge of the village. Good for walking. The Cleveland Way coastal path goes through Staithes if you want a proper walk.

Other nice spots along the coast nearby are Runswick Bay and Sandsend. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further.
