Captains Quarters
This is Captains Quarters in Staithes. The cottages are converted old army barracks from the First World War. You have one of the four that's been done up. The others next to it are left mostly as they were, so you can see what they used to be like.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. There's an enclosed garden with a patio area for you, plus parking and space for bikes.
The location is good for getting out. You're right by the Cleveland Way for walking. It's a two minute walk down the lane into Staithes itself. It's a proper old fishing village with cobbled streets, a little harbour, and cliffs all around. There are shops, pubs, a cafe, and a restaurant down there.
If you want to go further, Whitby is about eleven miles away. You can see the Abbey there. The North York Moors are right on your doorstep for driving or walking. There's a golf course in Brotton, roughly seven miles away.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We do allow pets, up to three.
Because the four lodges are close together, you can book them together for bigger groups. We can also arrange extra en-suite rooms on site if you ask.
