Arcadian
This is Arcadian. It's in Skinningrove, a small village about a five minute walk from the beach.
It's an old miner's cottage from the 1880s, so it's compact. It sleeps just two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped.
You've got a wood burner in the front room for cooler evenings. The kitchen is open plan with a table for two. There's artwork on the walls. There's a locked shed outside if you've brought bikes or a surfboard. You can bring one dog. The place is all on one level at the entrance.
Skinningrove itself is quiet. There's a small shop, a chip shop, and a cafe. It's not a touristy spot.
The Cleveland Way walking path runs along the cliffs here. You can walk to Cattersty Sands beach. For surfing, Saltburn is about a ten minute drive. Staithes and Runswick Bay are close by too. Whitby is half an hour away by car.
The North York Moors National Park starts just inland. Good for walking or a drive through the heather.
