The Arcadian is in Skinningrove. It's an old miner's cottage from the 1880s. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. You can bring a dog.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is open plan with a table for two. The stairs are a bit steep, like most cottages here. The shower is a good size, which is handy after the beach.
You're about five minutes' walk from the beach. It's a quiet village, mostly locals. There's a village shop, a little cafe, and a fish and chip shop. It's not a touristy spot.
If you want to walk, the Cleveland Way runs along the cliffs. Saltburn is a short drive away for surfing and has a pier. Staithes and Runswick Bay are nice for a visit. Whitby is about half an hour's drive. It's got the abbey, boat trips, and a lot of chip shops.
The North York Moors National Park is right there too, for walks.
Facilities: there's Wi-Fi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a locked shed outside for bikes or surfboards. The entrance and shower are wheelchair accessible. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over the holidays.
