The Anchorage
The Anchorage is in Staithes. It's a two bedroom cottage right on the harbour. You can sit in the front window and watch the boats. The view is good.
It sleeps four, with one bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom were redone a few years ago. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need.
You can park two cars right outside, which is unusual for here. Most places you can't.
The village is small, with cobbled streets. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about five minutes' walk away. The beach is just there, good for fossils. The Cleveland Way path is right on the cliff above, so the walking is excellent.
It's a proper old fishing cottage, so the rooms are cosy and the stairs are a bit steep.
You can bring one dog. We provide bedding. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them, plus WiFi and a TV.
For things to do, Whitby is about a twenty minute drive north. The North York Moors are right behind you. Scarborough is about forty minutes south.
