Sea Breeze Cottage is in Cowbar. It's a terraced house up on the hillside, a couple of minutes' walk from the cliff tops. It dates from the 1800s, it was a miner's cottage originally. It's been done up.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living room has a multi-fuel burner and you can see over to the North York Moors from the window. The kitchen is fine for cooking meals. There's a dining room that's more like a conservatory, it's bright and faces south.
You're about a quarter of a mile from Staithes village. It's a steep walk down, or you can drive and park in the main car park. Staithes has a couple of pubs, some places to eat, a small beach and a museum. It's a proper old fishing village with narrow streets.
The cottage is right on the Cleveland Way path. You can walk from the door along the coast. Whitby is about a 15 minute drive south. It's busy, but it's got the abbey, plenty of fish and chips, and the North York Moors National Park starts just inland from there.
For the facilities, there's a washing machine, parking for one car on the drive, and bedding and towels are included. The heating is from storage radiators. There's a TV. No pets, I'm afraid.
