Sea Breeze Cottage
Sea Breeze Cottage is in Cowbar. That's a small place up on the hill above Staithes. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row of old miners' places. It's quiet up here. You look out over fields towards the moors.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with a double bed, and there are two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated, so it's comfortable and warm. The stairs are cottage stairs. They're a bit steep and narrow, so just take care.
You can walk down into Staithes in about ten minutes. There's a footbridge over the beck. The village has a couple of pubs that do food, some cafes, and a small museum. The beach is stony, good for rock pooling.
You're right on the Cleveland Way up here. The path goes right past the cottage. It's good for a long walk or just a short stroll along the cliffs.
Whitby is about a twenty minute drive. That's where the abbey is, and all the shops. Robin Hood's Bay is in the other direction, maybe fifteen minutes by car. Runswick Bay is close too. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland.
In the cottage you've got the wood burner, which is nice in the evening. There's a washing machine, a TV, and parking for one car right outside. All the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
