Staithes View
Staithes View is in Roxby, up on the hill. It's a sandstone cottage. You get a good view down to the sea from the garden. The garden is enclosed.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are ensuite, which is handy. Each has a walk-in wardrobe. The stairs are normal.
Downstairs is open plan: kitchen and dining area together. The living room has French doors to the patio. There's a fire for cooler evenings.
You're about two miles from the nearest pub, in Easington. It does food and is dog friendly. The historic fishing village of Staithes is a ten minute drive down the hill. It's got cobbled streets and is a proper working harbour.
For beaches, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay are within half an hour. Saltburn is good for surfing. Whitby is about twenty minutes by car. You can walk sections of the Cleveland Way from various points nearby. The North York Moors are right there.
If you like steam trains, the heritage railway at Grosmont isn't far. Scaling Dam reservoir is about ten minutes away for sailing or paddleboarding.
The facilities are what you'd expect: parking, wifi, TV, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
