Staithes View
Staithes View is in Roxby. It's about a mile inland from Staithes itself. The name is right, you get a clear view of the sea and the village from the garden.
It's a two-bedroom cottage, sleeps four. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well put together, modern but in a stone building. The stairs are fine, nothing unusual.
The kitchen has what you need, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine. There's an enclosed garden with a patio. It looks out over fields. You get a lot of birds.
You're in the North York Moors National Park straight away. The Cleveland Way path is close if you want a proper walk. North York Moors National Park has all the maps and information.
Staithes is five minutes in the car. It's a proper old fishing village with steep streets down to the harbour. Whitby is about twenty minutes away. Robin Hood's Bay is a bit further. Runswick Bay is close too, good for the beach.
There's a local pub in Easington that does food and allows dogs. Most pubs around here are dog friendly. Scaling Dam is nearby if you want to try sailing or paddleboarding.
Further out, you can get to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in maybe forty minutes. North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Guisborough for the market is about half an hour.
Facilities: parking for two cars at the cottage. WiFi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
