Black Bull Cottage is in Ugthorpe. It's an end terrace, so you get windows on two sides. It looks out over farmland and you can see the sea from the front.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean. The ceiling is low in the kitchen if you're tall, and there are some beams. The stairs are steep, but there's a handrail.
The local pub is about fifty yards away. It's called the Black Bull. They do food. The village shop is in nearby Hinderwell, about three miles away.
Runswick Bay is three miles. It's a good sandy beach. Whitby is about seven miles. You can walk along the harbour, see the Abbey, and get fish and chips.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. For walking, you can pick up the Cleveland Way coastal path. The moors themselves are about a ten minute drive inland.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
