Cobb's Cottage
Cobb's Cottage is in Green End, which is a small hamlet in the North York Moors. It's a terraced cottage, old but updated inside. It sleeps four, with three bedrooms and one bathroom.
The layout is all on the ground floor except the bedrooms, which are upstairs. All three bedrooms look out over the fields. The stairs to get up there are steep, just so you know.
It's very quiet here. There's a pub about a mile away. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains go past quite close to the cottage. If you like trains, you'll get a good view from the upstairs windows.
For walking, there's an old track right nearby. You can walk into Goathland or Grosmont. From Grosmont you can get the steam train to Whitby or Pickering if you don't want to drive.
Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. It's got the abbey, the harbour, and all the usual seaside things. Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are along the coast too, both worth a visit. Scarborough is about 40 minutes away if you want a bigger town or the theatre.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. Sorry, no pets.
