Cobb's Cottage
Cobb's Cottage is in Esk Valley, which is a small hamlet near Green End. It's a terraced cottage, built for miners in the 1800s. We've updated the inside.
It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. It has a 4 Star rating. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are all on the ground floor. The stairs are a typical cottage shape, so they're a bit steep and turn at the top.
All three bedrooms look out over the fields. The railway line for the North York Moors Railway runs past the back. The steam trains go by quite close, which is interesting if you like that sort of thing.
You're right in the North York Moors National Park. There's an old track for walking almost on the doorstep. You can walk into Goathland or Grosmont from there. Grosmont is where you can get the steam train to Whitby or Pickering.
Whitby is about a twenty minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with the abbey and the harbour. Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are along the coast too, both worth a visit. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in the next village.
For facilities, you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. Parking is on site. No pets, sorry.
