Sheep Dip Cottage
Sheep Dip Cottage is a converted barn on our working farm in Delves, near Egton Bridge. It sleeps twelve people. There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The main living area is open plan and very large. It gets light from two sides. There's a big corner sofa and a large dining table. The kitchen has what you need. The stairs are quite steep, as you'd expect.
There are two staircases. One leads to a super king bedroom and a room with three singles, both with en-suites. The other leads to a family room with a double and a single, another super king with an en-suite, and a separate bathroom.
The garden is enclosed and has a hot tub. The view is over the valley. It's very dark here at night, good for stars. The property runs on renewable energy from a wind turbine and solar panels, with underfloor heating.
Because it's a working farm, we don't allow pets or late-night partying, like stag or hen dos. It's a quiet place.
Egton Bridge village is about a mile away, down the farm track. It has a couple of pubs that do food. The nearest proper shops are further out, but you can get grocery deliveries.
Whitby is about seven miles away. Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, and Staithes are all within a half hour drive. Grosmont is four miles away where you can get the steam train on the North York Moors Railway. The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep. Dalby Forest is about nine miles for walking and cycling.
The house has parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
