Sheep Dip Cottage is near Delves, on a working farm in North Yorkshire. It's a barn conversion. We're about a mile from Egton Bridge village down a private farm track. It's quiet here.
The place sleeps twelve. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite. The stairs are a bit steep and there are two separate staircases. One goes to two bedrooms, the other goes to the rest.
The main living area is open plan and very big, with doors out to the garden. There's a large dining table and plenty of seating. The kitchen has what you need. It's a 4 Star property.
The garden is enclosed. It has a private hot tub. The view looks out over the valley farmland. It gets very dark at night here, so you can see the stars.
We're on a farm, so it's not suitable for pets or for late-night partying like stag or hen dos. The property runs on renewable energy: there's a wind turbine, solar panels, and a ground source heat pump for the underfloor heating and hot water.
Egton Bridge has a couple of pubs that do food. Whitby is about seven miles away. Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes are all within a half hour drive.
For days out, Grosmont is four miles away where you can get the North York Moors Railway steam train. Dalby Forest is good for cycling and walking trails. You can hire a canoe in Ruswarp on the River Esk. The Yorkshire Cycle Hub and cafe is just over eight miles away.
The facilities include a wood burning stove, a BBQ, bike storage, a dishwasher, WiFi, a washing machine, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site.
