Heatherlea is a detached cottage in Sleights. It's ground floor, flat access from the drive. High ceilings and big windows make it feel bright.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
The village has the basics: a shop and post office, café, fish and chips, a butcher and bakery.
Whitby is four miles down the road. It's got the harbour, the Abbey, plenty of pubs and shops. The beach there is sandy.
You can get the steam train from Whitby or nearby Ruswarp. It goes through the Esk Valley to Pickering. The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep for walking. The website has good trail guides.
Inside, there's a living room with a gas fire, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. You have your own patio garden. There's parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included.
