Idagale is in Whitby. It's a tall, narrow house spread over five floors.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is a shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and everything works, but it's not a fancy hotel.
The stairs are steep. They're just what you get in an old Whitby house. The kitchen is a bit quirky, with a dining table you can extend by the heater. The top bedroom is under the eaves with Velux windows.
You can bring two dogs. There are lots of dog-friendly places around, even a dog bakery.
It's about half a mile to the beach and the harbour. The town has everything you need: shops, pubs, fish and chips. The famous 199 steps are there, leading up to the abbey.
For walks, you can pick up the Cleveland Way path right from town, or the old railway line called the Cinder Track. North York Moors National Park is inland. Robin Hood's Bay is a few miles down the coast, Staithes is a bit further.
Scarborough is about 20 miles south. York is about an hour's drive inland.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is in the price.
