George's View is a first floor duplex apartment in Whitby, about a minute's walk from the harbour. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating.
The car parking space is right outside. That's the main thing to know, because parking in Whitby in summer can be difficult.
You look out from the front over the listed railway station and onto the harbour. You can see the replica of Captain Cook's Endeavour from the windows.
The ceilings are normal height inside, no issues. It's open plan downstairs. The kitchen is modern and has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. There are smart TVs and USB sockets in the rooms. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a welcome pack for you when you arrive.
It's above a hairdresser and beauty salon. They're separate businesses, but you can book appointments if you want.
You're right in the middle of things. The front door is about ten yards from a pub and fifteen from restaurants. The beach and shops are a couple of minutes' walk.
The beach is good, it runs along to Sandsend. For walks, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here. The Cleveland Way path is right there. Whitby Abbey is up the 199 steps.
If you drive, the North York Moors National Park starts just inland. The steam railway from Pickering is about half an hour away. Scarborough is a 40 minute drive. York is about an hour.
