Railway Sleepers is just outside Whitby, about a five minute walk from the train station. It's a three-storey, semi-detached house. The main thing is it has its own parking for two cars, plus a bit more on the street. That's rare for Whitby.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two doubles on the first floor and a room with three singles in the attic. There's one bathroom, on the first floor. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are fine, just normal house stairs.
You get a small enclosed lawn at the front with some flowers, and a little yard at the back with a shed. The shed is handy if you've brought bikes or surfboards. The living room has a wood burning stove.
Whitby town centre, the harbour, and the beach are all about a fifteen minute walk away. You've got the 199 steps up to the Abbey and the church if you want that view. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. You can get the heritage steam train from Whitby station straight into the middle of it.
Along the coast, Robin Hood's Bay is about ten minutes by car, Staithes is about twenty. For a bigger beach day, Scarborough is half an hour's drive.
The house has what you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
