Railway Sleepers

Railway Sleepers is in Whitby. It's a semi-detached house spread over three floors. You get two private parking spaces, which is a real help here. There is some on-street parking as well.

The house sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. Two doubles are on the first floor and a third bedroom with three singles is up in the eaves on the second floor. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The living room is at the front of the house. At the back is a kitchen with a dining area. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. Out the back is a small, enclosed yard with a shed you can use for bikes or surfboards. At the front is an enclosed lawned garden with some flower beds.

It's called Railway Sleepers because it's near Whitby train station. In the summer you can see and hear the steam trains coming in.

Whitby itself is about a fifteen minute walk. You've got the beach, the abbey ruins, and the 199 steps up to St Mary's Church. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town and is great for walking. You can catch the steam train from Whitby into the moors.

Robin Hood's Bay is about a ten minute drive south. Staithes is about twenty minutes north. For a longer day out, York is around an hour and a half's drive.

Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot, highchair, and stairgate are available if you need them. No pets, sorry.
