One Over Eight
One Over Eight is a one bedroom apartment right in the middle of Whitby, on Church Street. It’s in a small courtyard, so it feels a bit tucked away even though you’re in the centre. It’s Grade II listed.
It’s small, just for two people, but it’s been done up to a high standard. That’s the five star rating, it’s the fixtures and finish. The main living area is downstairs. Upstairs is the bedroom, which has a vaulted ceiling and a freestanding bath in the room. There’s a separate ensuite shower room too. The stairs are quite steep, being an old building.
You’re about fifty yards from a pub and the shops. The harbour and the main town are right there. Whitby Abbey and the 199 steps are a couple of minutes’ walk. It’s a proper historic place.
The North York Moors start just outside town if you want walks. Robin Hood’s Bay is about ten minutes’ drive down the coast. Saltburn and Staithes are within half an hour.
Included facilities: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. All bedding and towels are provided. There’s a small patio area. No pets.
