The Old Bakery is on Church Street in Whitby. It's a three-floor apartment that sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard.
It used to be a bakery, so there are a few references to that inside. The main thing to know is the stairs. They're the original wrought iron ones and they're quite steep and open. Fine for most, but something to be aware of if you've got very small children or anyone unsteady on their feet. There's a stairgate provided.
You're right in the middle of things. The front door opens onto the street. Whitby Abbey is a couple of minutes' walk away. Shops, pubs, and the harbour are all on your doorstep. The beach is about a ten minute walk.
For parking, you can pull up outside to load and unload. After that, you'll need to use a car park. There's a long-stay one about five minutes away, or a Park & Ride a bit further out. The details are in the booking information.
It's a good spot for walking. The Cleveland Way runs right past. You can walk along the cliffs to places like Robin Hood's Bay. The North York Moors are on the doorstep too. The North York Moors National Park website has good walking route information: North York Moors National Park.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
If you want to explore further, the steam train from Whitby to Goathland is a nice trip. York is about an hour's drive. For local history, the English Heritage page for Whitby Abbey is useful.
