The Byre is in Raithwaite, which is near Sandsend. It's a two bedroom cottage for four people. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern inside.
You've got two bathrooms, which is handy. The main living area is open plan with a stone floor. It has underfloor heating. The ceilings are high with beams.
The garden is enclosed. It's got a decked area with a view out to sea. You can see Whitby Abbey on the headland from there. The sunrises are good.
It's about a 15 minute walk down to Sandsend beach. The beach is sandy and runs all the way to Whitby. The village has a shop, a couple of cafés, and a pub. There's a fish and chip restaurant with garden lights.
Whitby is close. You can walk there along the beach at low tide. It's about a mile and a half. Whitby has the abbey, the old town, and plenty of shops. The North York Moors National Park starts just behind the cottage.
For walking, you're on the Cleveland Way coast path. You can go north to Staithes or south to Robin Hood's Bay. The heritage steam railway runs from Whitby to Pickering. It stops at Goathland, which you might know from TV.
Facilities include the dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
