Bonno's Cottage is in Whitby. It's a three-storey terrace cottage, part of an old barn that was done up. We redecorated and put in new carpets and beds in 2023. It sleeps five.
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The stairs are a normal cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
You've got an enclosed garden out back, through the patio doors. It's not huge, but it's yours. There's a big TV. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a stairgate if you need them.
You can bring two dogs. There's bike storage if you've brought them.
It's about a fifteen minute walk into the middle of Whitby. There's a shop about ten minutes away, and a pub and restaurant not much further.
Whitby's a proper seaside town. There's a long beach, the abbey up on the cliff, and all the usual stuff like boat trips. It's famous for Dracula and the Goth weekends. The town is busy, with good fish and chips and a lot of pubs.
You can walk along the Cinder Track to Robin Hood's Bay. The North York Moors National Park starts not far inland. You can get the steam train from Whitby into the middle of it. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast nearby.
Scarborough is about half an hour down the coast if you want a bigger town with a sea life centre. York is about an hour's drive for a day out.
