Bonno's Cottage

Bonno's Cottage is in Whitby. It's a terraced cottage, part of an old barn that was converted. The inside was all updated last year, so it's fresh and clean. It's on three floors, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It sleeps five.

The stairs are normal cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep. The garden out the back is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to two pets.

It's about a 15 minute walk from the cottage down into the centre of Whitby. You can leave the car. The town's got everything: fish and chip shops, pubs, the usual seaside things. The beach is sandy and long.

If you walk into town, you'll see the abbey up on the cliff. You can climb the 199 steps up to it. The view from the top is good. There's a path called the Cinder Track you can walk or cycle along to Robin Hood's Bay.

For a day out, the North York Moors are right there. You can get a steam train from Whitby into the middle of it. North York Moors National Park has details on walks. Further along the coast, places like Staithes are worth a visit. Scarborough is about a 30 minute drive south if you want a bigger town with a Sea Life centre. York is about an hour's drive.

In the cottage there's a washing machine, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV. The rating is 3 Star, which means it's comfortable and has what you need, without being fancy.
