Quackers is in Whitby, on the old railway sidings. It's a three-storey end-terrace cottage. You get a garden and a first-floor balcony that looks out over the river Esk.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so everyone's not queuing in the morning. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The stairs are okay, but they're the original shipyard cottage stairs. Steep in places.
The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside, which is a relief in Whitby.
You can walk into Whitby in about twenty minutes along the cinder track, which is the old railway line. It goes right over the viaduct. The steam train from Pickering comes past the back a few times a day.
The river is tidal. We get herons and seals sometimes. Ducks are always about. You can launch kayaks or paddleboards from the bank here.
There are two kids' play areas on the site. There's also a local pub, about a five-minute walk. It does food.
If you want to explore, the coast path is brilliant. Robin Hood's Bay is about six miles south. The North York Moors National Park starts just west of town. For historic sites, you've got Whitby Abbey obviously. The English Heritage page for the abbey is good for planning a visit.
You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a highchair and a cot if you need them.
