Bankside
Bankside is an apartment on the ground floor at Whitehall Landing in Whitby. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 5 Star rating. The place is modern and well kept. The main living area is open plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting room all together. The big windows look out over the River Esk, so you get a good sea view.
It's all on one level and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There are grab rails and a seat in the shower. There's one allocated parking space for you. They don't allow mobility scooters on the site, and there's no electric car charging.
You're right in Whitby. The harbour's a short walk. There's a pub about 500 yards away, and a restaurant even closer. The nearest shop is about 700 yards.
For the beach, you're looking at about a mile and a half walk or a short drive to the main sands. Whitby Abbey is the big attraction here. It's managed by English Heritage. The town has the usual seaside things, plus the Goth weekends.
If you fancy a drive, the North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. Robin Hood's Bay is about 15 minutes south along the coast. Scarborough is about 40 minutes by car.
