Bankside
Bankside is an apartment in Whitby. It's on the ground floor of a development called Whitehall Landing, right by the river. You get a view of the water from the front.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped, modern and clean. Everything's on one level which makes it straightforward. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there are grab rails in the shower.
The kitchen, living and dining area is all open plan, which feels quite spacious. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's one allocated parking space out front. No electric car charging though.
You're a short walk from the centre of Whitby. It's about five minutes to pubs and restaurants. The harbour, the old town, and the 199 steps up to the abbey are all close by. For a sandy beach, you'd need to drive or get a bus to Sandsend, which is a couple of miles up the coast.
The development has some shared gardens and a play area for children. No pets allowed.
