The cottage is called What A View! for a reason. You can see the sea and Whitby Abbey from the main balcony and the master bedroom. It's a big part of the place.
It's an end-of-terrace house in a quiet bit of Whitby, about a fifteen minute walk down into the centre. You can see the town from up here.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-kept. You can bring up to two dogs.
Because it's on the side of a hill, you get to it through an enclosed garden at the back. The garden's got a summerhouse and some palm trees, which is a bit different. It's a proper enclosed space for dogs or kids.
The inside is open plan on the main living floor. The french doors from there open onto the balcony with the view. The stairs between floors are standard for a cottage, so they're a bit steeper than in a modern house.
You're about a mile from the nearest beach. There's a shop a quarter of a mile away. The closest pub is about three quarters of a mile.
For things to do, you can walk down into Whitby for the harbour, fish and chips, and the Abbey. The Cleveland Way long-distance path runs right past the town for coastal walks. The North York Moors are right behind you if you fancy inland walks or a trip on the steam railway.
Facilities here: everything's included with the electricity and utilities. You've got the enclosed garden and patio, Wi-Fi, TV, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are provided. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
