Downdinner Hill
Downdinner Hill is a bungalow in Whitby. It's perched on a hill above the town, so you get a nice view.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level, which makes it easy. There's one bedroom with a double bed, and a walk-in shower in the bathroom.
The main room is open plan. There's a kitchen area, a sofa, and a table. The kitchen has what you need. You get your own private patio off the back, plus there's a shared lawn if you want more space.
It's about a ten minute walk down into Whitby town centre. Whitby's a proper fishing town. The fish and chips are good. You can walk along the harbour, see the abbey up on the cliff, or just go to the beach.
If you want to explore, Robin Hood's Bay is about a 15 minute drive south. It's a great little village you can walk down into. The North York Moors are right on the doorstep too. The North York Moors National Park website has good information for walks. The steam train from Whitby goes into the moors, which is a nice thing to do.
Facilities: There's parking right by the bungalow. WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but you'd need to check the specifics inside if that's important.
