This is River Side in Whitby. It's a third-floor apartment in a building near the harbour. There's a lift, so you don't have to do the stairs with your bags. That's useful.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and has what you need. The building is close to everything. Shops and pubs are a few minutes' walk away.
The main thing is the location. You're about a five minute walk from the harbour and the old town. Whitby Abbey is up on the cliff. You can see it from a lot of places. There are steps up to it, the 199 steps, if you feel like it. The churchyard at the top is the one from the Dracula story.
From the apartment, you're well placed for the coast. The beach is to the south. For a longer walk, you can get onto the Cleveland Way path. The North York Moors are inland, about a twenty minute drive to get up into the proper hills.
Facilities are straightforward. There's WiFi, a TV, parking on site, and bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
