Buccaneer
This is the Buccaneer. It's a top floor flat in a Georgian townhouse on the east side of Whitby. You get off-road parking right outside, which is a relief because parking in Whitby is a nightmare.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. One has its own shower room, and there's a separate main bathroom with a big jacuzzi bath. The whole place is open plan on the top floor. Living room, dining area, kitchen. You can see the upper harbour from the windows.
The stairs up to the flat are from a shared hall. They're fine, just normal stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after. It's furnished nicely, with some pictures by local photographers and old beams in the ceiling.
You're about a five minute walk from everything. The shop and the nearest pub are a few hundred yards away. The beach is about half a mile.
From here, you can walk along the cliffs, get fish and chips, or just wander around the harbour. The main attraction is the abbey up on the cliff, run by English Heritage.
If you drive, Sandsend and Robin Hood's Bay are along the coast within fifteen minutes. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. The famous steam railway goes from Whitby to Pickering, stopping at Goathland which was in the Harry Potter films.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets. On-site parking.
