Albion Cottage
Albion Cottage is a detached house up at West Cliff in Whitby. It's a short walk from the town and the harbour.
The house sleeps seven across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
You get the garden to yourselves, which circles the house. The front patio has a glimpse of the sea. The back garden is mainly lawn and looks straight onto the golf course. If you play, you're welcome to book a round there.
The kitchen is shaker style and has everything you'd need. There's a conservatory at the back with a sofa. Being detached, it's generally quiet.
A useful thing is the garage. It's attached to the house and good for storing bikes, surfboards, or motorbikes if you've brought them. There's also parking on the driveway.
The house is dog friendly, for up to two dogs. A lot of the cafes and pubs in town are dog friendly too.
You can walk down into Whitby from the house. The town has the usual seaside things: harbour, beach, fish and chips, plenty of pubs. Bram Stoker wrote part of Dracula here, so there are ghost walks if that's your sort of thing.
If you want to explore further, Robin Hood's Bay is about a fifteen minute drive south. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby. The Cleveland Way footpath runs along the cliffs. For a trip inland, you can get the steam train from Whitby to Pickering, which goes right into the North York Moors National Park.
