The Parlour
The Parlour is on Fern Farm, near Normanby. It's a converted milking parlour, so it's one long room with a bedroom and bathroom at one end. It's for two people.
You get the views. It looks out over the fields towards Whitby Abbey and the coast. The sunsets are good. It's very quiet at night.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's got underfloor heating in the bathroom, a shower, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. There's parking right outside.
You're about ten minutes by car from Whitby. It's handy for the town but you're out in the country. Robin Hood's Bay is even closer, maybe five minutes. The Cleveland Way footpath is nearby if you want a walk.
If you want to use the steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, you can get on at Whitby. It goes to Pickering. The North York Moors National Park website has good maps for walking. The English Heritage page for Whitby Abbey is useful for visiting.
You can bring up to two dogs. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot available if you need one.
The owner can arrange for a massage therapist to come to the cottage if you book it in advance. That's a separate cost.
If you're coming with another couple, you can also book the Cart Shed next door. Together they sleep four.
