Copper Coins is on Adelaide Row in Whitby. It's an upside down apartment, so the living area is upstairs and the bedroom's down. That means you get the view from the sitting room. It sleeps two, has one bathroom, and the rating is 4 Star. There's a private parking space, which is handy because parking in Whitby can be difficult.
The beach is about a hundred yards away. From there you can walk along the front into the town centre. All the pubs, shops, and fish and chip places are within easy walking distance.
The stairs inside are a fairly steep spiral staircase. Just so you know.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included, there's wifi, and a TV.
Whitby's got the usual seaside things. The beach is sandy, there's a pier. The town is famous for the Abbey, which is up 199 steps. The view from the top is good. There are a lot of events through the year, like the Goth Weekend and Folk Week.
A short drive south gets you to Robin Hood's Bay, which is a nice walk along the Cinder Track if you don't want to drive. Runswick Bay is another good spot. To the west, you've got the North York Moors National Park. The Cleveland Way national trail runs right past the town.
Scarborough is about a forty minute drive down the coast. York is roughly an hour's drive away.
