Gunpowder House is in East Barnby, right on the edge of the North York Moors. It's detached, so it's just you and the garden. The garden's enclosed and looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has a wood burner for evenings. The main thing is the view, it's really good from up there.
You can walk straight from the door onto the moor. The coast is about two miles down the hill at Sandsend. Whitby is four miles along the coast. It's a proper fishing port with the Abbey and all that. The beach at Sandsend is long and sandy when the tide's out.
The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in the village. They're fine. For a bigger shop you'd go into Whitby.
It says it's got a romantic setting, which I suppose means it's quiet and on its own. You can bring one dog. There's parking for a car. Everything like bedding and towels is provided, and there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Also a highchair and a cot if you need them.
